Tube phonostages have been an integral part of Pro-Ject’s product portfolio for many years. The latest Tube Box DS3 B adds balanced capability to the mix, making this Pro-Ject’s first true balanced tube phono preamp. The design benefits from an outstanding dual-mono circuit layout with discrete components assembled with expertise in Europe. It’s a hybrid design utilizing tubes in the input and gain stages. All electrical components (including the tube output stage) are audiophile-grade, merging to deliver breathtaking sound quality from your turntable and phono cartridge.

In addition to settings for moving magnet cartridges, the Tube Box DS3 B allows you to upgrade to true balanced operation with a moving coil cartridge on most Pro-Ject turntables. This allows the input circuit to subtract hum and noise picked up during the transmission.

The Tube Box DS3 B comes in a steel and aluminum chassis providing very high rigidity and splendid isolation from interference. Tube Box DS3 B is available in silver or black. Magnetic wooden side panels are sold separately.

Advanced Circuitry

The Tube Box DS3B will let you connect two turntables at the same time, one balanced, one single-ended. Switching between the two tables and their settings is conveniently available on the front panel. Input settings for each input are stored individually and recalled automatically.

A large gain range from 40dB up to 65dB is possible. You can match it with a wide variety of cartridges and seamlessly integrate it into the rest of your system, matching the volume levels accurately to other sources like CD players or streaming devices.
